Do you need a visa to go to the Philippines? I’ve read several conflicting websites.
 

In March I stayed at the Peninsula Hotel in Makati City. For around $99 a night I had a huge room, free pressing, free buffet breakfast and car transfers each day. The hotel has a resort feel with a large pool and exercise facilities. Green Hills, a nicer restaurant area, is walking distance from the hotel.

I’m heading to Manila next month and I was wondering what to expect. How safe is the city?
